Internship Experience @ Sr. Advocate Salman Khurshid, New Delhi: Learned punctuality and sincerity

Chamber of Mr. Salman Khurshid, New Delhi.

Salman Khurshid is an Indian politician, designated senior advocate of Supreme Court , eminent author (as he hav written various books like -New Hope for Kashmir, Beyond Terrorism, etc) and a law teacher. He was the Cabinet Minister of the Ministry of External Affairs. He belongs to the Indian National Congress Party. He did his BA jurisprudence from St Edmund Hall, Oxford, Uk.

Duration of internship:
June 1, 2016-June 30, 2016

First Impression:When I entered the chamber of Khurshid Sir, the environment was workaholic. Everyone was busy in collecting files and going to courts.

Main tasks:
i) Legal research
ii) latest case summarizing- Interns use to brief the associates about the upcoming cases, further the associates use to brief Khurshid sir.
iii) visiting courts and company law board.- We were given the pass to enter the Supreme Court and we were directed to make notes of the court proceedings.

Work environment and people:
Very friendly work environment. Everyone over there is always ready to guide. Brunch and lunch was provided for free and even access to the coffee machines.

Things Learnt:
The best thing was despite of the heavy work schedule of Mr. Salman Sir, he still managed to interact with the interns regularly.

Stipend:Stipend is 20,000/- it depends on the work done, most of the interns get stipend of 10,000/-

Biggest Lessons:
Biggest lesson there was punctuality and sincerity.
